Goodreads asked E.T. Malinowski:

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

E.T. Malinowski LOL I don't have a summer reading list. I have a yearly reading list and it's lllooonnnggg. I picked up Sinner's Gin by Rhys Ford (because I CANNOT read series out of order) and the newest release by Sandrine Gasq-Dion (RIP and Blessed be Dear Alpha) and I'll be reading those first. I picked up a couple new-to-me ebooks by NR Walker, R. Cooper, and several new authors, too many to list, that I'll give a shot to. Most of the stuff coming out seems to be series, and while I have nothing against series, if I don't like the first book I'm very unlikely to read the rest of it. What I also find in existing series is that book 5 sounds really good to me but since I absolutely am OCD about reading them in order, I have to get books 1-4 first and maybe they don't sound as good or they sound good and fall short, which puts me off reading the next one. I will because I REALLY want to get to book 5, but still, I like standalones a lot. Plus, I think some series get out of hand if they're not handled right. Sandrine did a wonderful job with her Assassin/Shifters and Santorno Series, so I didn't mind reading over 20 books at all. The Brac Pack series... don't even get me started, over 30+ books, I think 3 different series, and the same story over and over, I stopped reading it. When I have to jump from series to series to follow the main plot, I'm done. Anyway, like I said, I don't really have a 'summer' list so much as a 'yearly' list ;-)
