For my novels I use a book cover artist, a critique editor, a print & digital format editor. I am the writer, and editor for now, until I can afford that service. I may be taking a chance, I realize, but I would never get the story out. I do proofread many times.

Thank you Lissa for the question and kind words. Believe me that I never intended to be so prolific with this course of mine-it just happened. It is as though I've crossed back over the same path I left saying, "What now?"
I'd like to get noticed on Amazon and also have a print copy available for purchase but 600-1000 dollars upsets my budget. May try Create Space.
I've done press releases, book tours, blog posts, social medias, word of mouth, conferences, and ads. You name it I've done about all of it. So, I must go on and do my own thing leaving my stories in a fine coma indeed. Ha ha!
Yes, I would like to write sequels to both recently released books, poetry, short stories, and even start a magazine-keeping it simple without big corporations interfering. I love big companies, I'm just tired of the influence that you don't know exists. I'm beginning to sound like my smart little brother who is an engineer. Maybe a magazine run by little caring people that is interesting, colorful, informative, and global for women and men, kids too.
I'm not a marketeer.

It wasn't the gun that made my eyes wide open in the middle of the night. No, it was the words that threatened to use the gun which made my stare grow worried with wonder.

First up Star Wars would be exciting & traveling by spaceship I'd be the captain & fly the ship.
Secondly, from Bleu Moon, Paris with its art, galleries, & food places, & the island of Maupiti for the tranquility, beaches, sport, & serenity. I'd meet artistic people, drink coffee, wine, & I'd do sport-windsurfing, & paint pictures to take home.

My historical fiction is ready for the final edit! I have hope for this little cutie. It's memorable, filled with highlights and soft moments, while extrapolating our unique American history. I see a series here. Very proud of this writing. August 2017.

I don't have one, and there in lies the answer to the question of why I am writing, I suppose.

Hello Alexandar!
Currently, I will be promoting my novel as soon as it is released. I'm expecting a January 2015 time and it will be on amazon and other venues. This is "Into the Vines" by Kim Troike, and it's a full length novel for all ages with adventure, mystery and touches of romance.
I did release a Holiday novella, String the Cranberries by Kim Troike on December 13th, with a heartwarming tale of of a young man seeking to find a different path in life then that of his parents. This is my work from NaNoWriMo 2013.
Both of my new releases are by Kim Troike and not my pen.
Thank you for asking. All the best to you.

Hello Heather! This is a BIG question because I think I've done everything to promote my book. I have a few more tricks and then I'll let it rest. In the new year, I'm going to do what I want to do, and see what happens.
Here's a list of how I tried. I joined every social media known to mankind, and participated. Then, I made blog posts, joined Amazon KDP, did a blog tour, signed up for contests, became a journalist (not a popular thing at the moment), movie trailers, book festivals, and emails to friends and family.
What worked was the book blog tour and KDP, pure and simple, where it went out to readers and purchasers. With 600,000 new titles we have a tough, tough road to sell. I would say LUCK has a bit to do with it.
I have not tried the trail of stores, and being out there as yet like yourself. We must be aware of businesses that now want your bucks to help you publish a book, but are in it to make as much off you as possible.
In 2015, I'm going to send my new book out to reviewers, and blogs which reach readers, then, I'll do a few promotional posts on my own blog. Maybe, I'll ask you to do one for me. Third, I will send a press release to my newspapers in Atlanta, and radio programs, too. Fourth, I will send more query letters out, as I've come too far to not keep trying. Fifth, I will try to sell it to these live streaming venues that need fresh material. Sixth, I am going to write more poetry and another novel. (Not for therapy, but because, I actually do want a NEW career).
And finally, the seventh way will be to check on established mags, and papers for a part time job. Thanks for asking!

Hi Heather,
I've been writing since 2011, steadily in novel form. I have always been a letter writer but decided to make a novel. My first one, Kiss Ride, is a short novella with little plot that made me want to try it again. I wrote poems, too. They are difficult at times, and yet, mostly easy and fun!
I tend to finish what I start. I try and listen to myself, however, there are so many other opinions and static on line, one can get dismayed. Then again, the sincere ones come gleaming through and motivate you. That's why I'm still here!
I do want to sell, and by that it would mean readers find my material, like it, buy it. This, I believe, would encourage me to do even better, or write more. If not, I'll be fishing on the waters down south.
The creation is beautiful when it all falls in place and you like it. You feel like you are good at something. Is this why writers write? I'm not sure. I'm still learning.

Definitely, I would say the Caribbean has inspired my love of islands and their uniqueness from the inhabitants to the food and even the style of architecture. My grandmother lived on an island and I spent many summers there, somewhat like a Robinson Crusoe or Gulliver's Travels type setting. Farming, cattle and fishing were part of that experience also. Choosing a vineyard seemed like a wonderful idea as I've been to so many of those in California and Georgia. The romanticist in myself would love to nurture a vineyard. Thank you for the question.
Caroline Clemens
I talked with people that have been there; I used Frommer's to guide me. I've been to many a museum/mansion/vineyards on the east and west coasts in the U.S. I focused on say a particular at the Louvre, Giverney, Eiffel tower, cafes and Notre Dame, thus not showcasing every detail but giving it mystique like Paris itself. The readers, so far, tell me they felt like they were there. And yes. I tried to keep it real. Maybe someday I'll visit, then I'll really know for sure.

Three years ago I completed my first full length novel, that was a dream finally realized. I have never thought about writing a screenplay, acting maybe, but the actual dialogue and settings for a movie or show, wow!
If you tell me it is slightly easier than writing a book, then yes, I could do it.

Sandra, thank you for the questions. Truthfully, I have never been there, but plan to visit. It remains a place I've always wanted to visit ... who wouldn't want to see all the sites of Paris? I believe I'm a romanticist so that city completes my thoughts and feelings about love in the moment. My characters just got there first!

Thank you Alexandar for the question. My dream for my writing began as one book and that was just the hook. Ha! Little did I know that I had some creativity in my pen hand. Of course, the jury is still out on that because I have yet to sell. We will have to wait and find out. Patience is one of my forte/attributes.
My idea, which is still evolving, would be to write a novel a year (January-September) and a short/novella story each November. I would need help editing and formatting and selection of a suitable cover. I don't expect to do this all by myself as I want a life, too. Absolutely, my hope is to find a publisher to handle these. Maybe, I'm dreaming too big; I don't know.
Further on, the goal is to be read, improve and receive feedback. Otherwise, what's the purpose? You wouldn't build a castle and let no one in to enjoy it.
I love the movies and like watching that process through blogs, twitter, tumblr, etc. I wonder if I could be a part of that process? I'd like to explore that, even without training. I feel I have a voice, a vision through my personality, experience and viewpoints. Combining the music, the picture and the plot could be exhilarating! I have seen where people write, direct and/or act. The collaborative process seems to be much of the creativity itself.

I'm still developing my style and process. The actual getting started is difficult but doable, fun, too! The correcting is nightmarish and I will always need an editor. That I know for sure.
I'm glad and happy for myself that I like my writing, as I can not imagine hating your own work. What's the point? I don't believe in the attitude of narcissism, that it is narcissistic to love one's own work. I read that and I totally disagree; whoever said that just can not write or is not creative.
