Ed Ireland
Ed Ireland asked Caroline Clemens:

I see that you have never been to Paris. How much research do you do when writing about a place you've never been? In my own works, I try to provide as much realism as possible so I research like crazy.

Caroline Clemens I talked with people that have been there; I used Frommer's to guide me. I've been to many a museum/mansion/vineyards on the east and west coasts in the U.S. I focused on say a particular at the Louvre, Giverney, Eiffel tower, cafes and Notre Dame, thus not showcasing every detail but giving it mystique like Paris itself. The readers, so far, tell me they felt like they were there. And yes. I tried to keep it real. Maybe someday I'll visit, then I'll really know for sure.
