Good because different from most, I am against using war periods for fiction and groan over historical fiction. I am with you for the serious 'standard mystery' (non-thriller) 'paranormal mystery'. Even better when the paranormal or personal create the rare but growing 'non-crime mystery'! Modern is for me: all fun, mystery, and discovery can't belong to the past.

Hi - thanks for recommending my books! I had an idea for a ghost story, and then I read something somewhere about how the English countryside was empty after WWI because so many of the men were dead. I thought that would be the perfect setting for a ghost story. Then I spent time researching the era, and the rest is history :)

Hi there, Mary asks to come in in Chapter 11 :) Glad you liked the book!

Hi! I'm glad you liked the books :) I am working hard on my next one, which should be out in 2020. I just finished reading The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware, which I loved. Check it out!

I have never seen a ghost, but I think they are possible. My books are all about the possibility.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the book. Yes, I am working on something new, don't worry :)
Simone St. James
LOL! I have totally done this. Don't worry, the book isn't going anywhere. It will be there when you want to read it :) Glad you are enjoying the books!
Simone St. James
I don't have plans for that right now. My next book is about different characters. I'm glad you enjoyed the book!
Simone St. James
I don't have one planned at the moment :)

Hi! Sorry you were disappointed, but my characters speak realistically, especially for modern times. Some of my other books have had swearing - Matthew uses the F word in The Haunting of Maddy Clare, because he is a soldier just back from the war in the trenches. Hope this answers your question.
Simone St. James
Yes it is. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
