We were SO LOOKING FORWARD to Broken Girls...love your books b/c they are great stories w/o language. I got to p. 12 and was surprised to see the "f-word". Oh my. Now my daughter will refuse to read it, especially knowing this occurs throughout the book, along with other words. Why did you go there? Your books are mesmerizing and intriguing; they carry the reader so well that language is not necessary. So bummed. :(

Hi! Sorry you were disappointed, but my characters speak realistically, especially for modern times. Some of my other books have had swearing - Matthew uses the F word in The Haunting of Maddy Clare, because he is a soldier just back from the war in the trenches. Hope this answers your question.

Which one of your books would you recommend a new reader of your collection start with?? As you're told so often, I too really like your writing! I am venturing into new genres that I normally wouldn't pick up, and I am SO HAPPY that I chose "The Broken Girls" to start with. I loved how there was so much going on and that it flowed so fluidly. Looking forward to the next one!
