Hi Jason, I have no plans to at the moment, since I've just started on an entirely new series, but James and I left the story where it was so that we'd concluded the five-book series but still left it open in case we ever did want to go back. So - in short - I never say never!

None that I can remember. I don't usually go there in my writing.

Hi! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I poured a lot of my time over three years into the series! The answer is complicated, really, but to keep it simple, I wasn't finding the time to write the other series that I'd committed to before Arisen was created, and later in the Arisen series I wasn't keeping up with Michael, which was unfair. Also the series was getting longer than originally planned, and something (or someone) had to give, and that ended up being me. I'm not a military writer (though I picked up a lot during the process of co-writing the first eight Arisen books), and Michael is, so it seemed the best choice for us was for him to finish the series and for me to bow out and pick up on everything that I'd neglected.
I may do zombies again at some point, in an entirely new series, but I need to quench my thirst for scifi, horror and fantasy before I consider going back.

Yes, absolutely. The thought being that at some point in time, all of these worlds were occupied by the same race (humans), though not necessarily deliberately. Some are more advanced than others, but most ended with the same fate. Take the defence grid described in The Last To Fall. Our modern world doesn't have that tech, or the shredder technology, the super batteries. These were picked up by the Resistance on more advanced, but equally trashed worlds.
The way I see it - if you were Nua'lath, and wanted masses of souls, you'd seek the worlds with a high population. usually they would be worlds where the predominant sentient race was more advanced, but at different stages of development.
Though, there are examples of worlds not heavily populated or advanced. The barren world where the Maw race was discovered is one, but then that is a race that, although highly intelligent, never found the need to hold something in it's paws. They are advanced spiritually, and have little need for physical things.

(view spoiler)[I've been following the Arisen series (which are great), but I can't find the book that tells how Homer and Sarah to found Homer's children. Which book is that? (hide spoiler)]

You haven't missed it. It hasn't been written yet. But, it's definitely a story Michael Fuchs should tell (and plans to) rather than me. They were his characters. I'm pretty sure it's a book that's quite high on his "to be written" list, after the main series is done (Which I no longer write)

Thrown Away is actually more related to the series "Dustfall" than it is to DoTD (so far...) There is a section later on in Thrown Away where Jack recalls a close up encounter with them. They are faster, and sort of technically still alive rather than some form of animated thing. Similar creatures do exist in the DoTD series, and I'd probably label them Ghouls rather than Constructs or zombies. Of course, all of my books are linked in small ways so I can't say it's coincidental!

The plan seems to be 12 books for the main series, plus an undefined number of prequels/sequels and maybe follow up series later on.
Though, after book eight I'm not involved with the main series any more. Mike will be finishing it.
I may return at some point to do sidebooks or mini series prequels or sequels.

Michael is the one who deserves recognition on this one. Outside of the Arisen series he writes Military Techno-thrillers and has spent a huge amount of time researching the military stuff. I came up with the idea of Arisen, originally, and wrote out plot notes for the series up to about book 5, but realised I wasn't going to be able to do the military aspect of the series justice, not without help. So, I approached Mike with the idea of co-writing the series.
