Sue London Obviously I would go hang out with the Haberdashers and help them find Parallax!
Sue London And then the laptop automatically rebooted and all the text files were lost. The end. (☉_☉)
Sue London Thanks for the question! You can help me decide what the right approach is. More like A Common Christmas (British narrator, maybe not the same artist since we haven't kept in touch), read by the author (me), read by the author and hubs (he has voice actor training), or something else? Tell me what your favorite audio books are like.
Sue London Wow, thought I'd answered this already. So sorry! I just posted the Pheme's Regret pre-order so it will be available in the next 24 hours or so. If I can edit or add to this answer I will post the link here. Thanks for reading!!!!
:) Sue
Sue London Thanks for asking! I didn't have a boys club, but had two older brothers. That means I played a lot of sports at home (especially football) and was quite the tomboy. Then I met my best friend and we had a shared interest in science fiction - which required running around playing with a lot of imaginary phasers and flying a lot of imaginary ships. To me, having the ability to see yourself in a lot of different roles, whether that crosses gender or intersteller lines, gives you a lot of opportunities to learn more about yourself and see yourself as stronger or more complete than you could have before. If I'd lived in the early 1800s I definitely would have been part of something like the Haberdashers. :)
Sue London I used to wait for an idea to spark and then spend some time getting it down, but that's not the best way to finish a book! Now I set word count goals and deadlines. That doesn't sound very inspirational, but that's how it works for me if I want to get anything done. :)
Sue London Hi Jo! Wow, I feel like your question is more insightful than my plan! As you may have noticed, all the Greek references have been only loosely associated with the heroine and I'm not attempting to retell the goddess stories. In this particular case it was something ELSE from the Persephone story that I had keyed on (being held underground), but I like your interpretation, too!
Sue London You can work while wearing pajamas and eating chocolate ice cream and everyone thinks that is perfectly normal! Well, that's the job perk I was going after. But the surprise best part has been meeting these amazing people who read my books, and hearing about their stories and why they connect with the Haberdashers.
Sue London There are three things in the hopper right now.
(1) A novella collaboration with Gene Doucette for an Immortal/Haberdashers cross-over. (Hint: this is going to be awesome.)
(2) A novella for a Christmas collection, because July is obviously the best time to feel Christmassy.
(3) Saving Persephone: Haberdashers #4. This novel will close the first sub-arc of the Haberdashers 12 book series and it focuses on Robert Bittlesworth, Sabre's oldest brother. It has been interesting, and a little scary, to spend so much time in his head.
