R.C. Rumple In his makeshift coffin, he lay thinking, one day, the wood will rot and I will escape. I will kill again!
R.C. Rumple Probably, to the world of Fahrenheit 451. There, I would become an activist and rebel against all who felt books needed to be burned and destroyed.
R.C. Rumple "Them" by James Watts. I'm too busy writing for many others.
R.C. Rumple If it's the run of the mill type, I simply start typing something ... anything ... to get my mind tuned into the computer screen and the task at hand. I'm currently dealing with the in-home murder of a friend and her husband, which has been much tougher. She had just received my second book the day before she was killed, and our conversation was about how much she wanted to read it.

I want to write about it, but the criminal is still at large and the details are slim. Every time I start to write fiction, my mind wanders back to the crime. I'm slowly coming out of it and getting back to the sequel. It's simply taking more time than expected.
R.C. Rumple The best thing about being a writer of novels is that you have few restrictions on what you write. You just have to be aware of what your readers want as the freedom to create is there like never before. It is a constant learning process that never stops, so you have to be hungry. A person that thinks they know it all will never succeed.
R.C. Rumple "Do it!" As I fine-tuned myself with articles on an Internet-based writing site, every day try to write something. You'll find yourself getting more and more comfortable as you go. Before you know, all your readers will be saying, "Why don't you ever write a book? I'd buy it!" (Don't believe them, many won't, lol.) Still, when you feel ready, plan it out and do it!
R.C. Rumple A "twelve years later" sequel to my second book, "They Lurk In Summer."
R.C. Rumple My mother started reading to me at an early age which bred my desire to read every book I could get my hands on. I often sat back, after finishing one, and wondered if I could ever write something as fantastic as what I'd just read. I wrote a short story in the late 70's that I made $75 on. As things happen in life, other careers become a part of the daily routine and writing gets pushed to the rear. When I took early retirement this year, I decided to pursue my dream. Two novels later and another on the way, my dream is becoming a reality.
R.C. Rumple Growing up in rural Indiana gave me plenty of chances to experience the "strange but true". I was actually treed by a pack of wild dogs one night as described in the book. Unfortunately, my father worked the night shift at a factory and never knew about it, and my mother figured I was spending the night with a friend, as I often did. By morning, the pack had departed and I ran my tail through the fields and jumped on my bike to get home.
