Hello, Kelly,
I'm afraid there is no way to get the series in the original covers.
Thanks,

Hello, Kelly,
No, I'm afraid there is little to no chance Blades of Acktar will ever have physical audio CDs. It just isn't very cost effective for me to sell them that way.
However, you are free to burn your digital copy onto CDs yourself for your own personal use if you are ever in the situation where you are planning a trip where you can't stream or download.

Hello,
As of right now, there probably won't be a sixth book. I tried for a couple of years to write it, only to realize that the characters didn't really have more story to be told. At the end of Decree, they were left in a good spot, and I would rather not ruin that by forcing a sixth book.

My author head cannon is that they do get together. Jamie leaves for a few years to study to be a minister, and when he returns, the years of space and maturing helped change their relationship from friends to seeing each other as something more.
Tricia Mingerink
Likely not. I have tried for the past two years to write the ideas I had for book six. But it just isn't working. I've come to the conclusion that it would be better to leave the series as is (it has a good ending, after all), than add books that are not up to the standards of the rest.

I'm afraid other things have been taking up all my time and energy these days. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to Deceive eventually, but I'm not sure when it will be.

I'm afraid I don't have an update for when Deceive will be released. I'm afraid other things have been taking up all my time and energy these days. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to Deceive eventually, but I'm not sure when it will be.

Hi, Isabella!
Sorry, I don't have a good answer for you since I don't know when my next book will release. Right now, I've been devoting my energies to other projects, which has sadly put The Blades of Acktar and Beyond the Tales on the back burner for the moment.

You're a busy writer! but at least it'll give me a chance to catch up on the rest of Blades, haha.

I'm not entirely sure yet. My cover designer has been busy with other projects that have priority, and I've been holding off on the hardcovers hoping to release them with the release of book 6 to take advantage of the hype. And since I don't know when I'll finish and release book 6, it means I don't know when I'll release the books in hardcover. Sorry. That probably isn't the answer you were hoping for.

No, I'm not planning to go Realm Makers this year (2022). I went last year, so financially, it is best that I take a year off. If you do go, I'm sure you'll have a great time. Realm Makers is always a blast!

Short answer: Yes, eventually.
Long answer: The narrator who did the first 4 books (Dare, Deny, Defy, and the novella Destroy) passed away suddenly right after he finished recording Destroy. I held off on doing the audiobooks for a while.
But I have gone back to them and I currently have a new narrator working on recording Deliver and Decree. It will still take a while since the narrator is giving me a cheaper rate as a favor and working on the books when he has a bit of extra time.
Since I can't afford to go back and have the new narrator re-record the first books, there will be a narrator change from Destroy to Deliver. But it can't be helped at this point. I'm sure the new narrator will win everyone over once you have a chance to listen to the books!

Thanks for your offer and your interest in reviewing or editing. I'm currently not looking for any additional editing. Thanks for your offer, though!

I plan to have a POV for Jamie in Deceive, once that is finally written.

Sorry I missed seeing this question! Right now, I don't have a release date for Deceive, though I do still plan to release it eventually. Other projects have taken priority, so writing Deceive has gone to the back burner for now.

I love audiobooks!
What kind of audiobooks are you looking for?
For secular YA, The Lunar Chronicles and Ranger's Apprentice have excellent narrators and are well worth the listen.
For Christian historical fiction, Karen Witemeyer's books usually have good narrators, and Roseanne M. White's books have a really, really, really good narrator.
Christian speculative fiction can be hard to find in audiobook. My books are available as audiobook, but they are among the few that are. The Beast of Talesend is a really good audiobook. Written by a Christian author, even though the book itself isn't explicitly Christian. Fawkes by Nadine Brandes is releasing tomorrow on audiobook.

I don't really know yet. I currently have ideas for at least 5 more books after Dagger's Sleep, but there are a lot of fairy tales out there and I'm sure I'll get more ideas as I write future books. The nice part about the series is that it is open-ended and flexible.
What I can tell you is I have ideas for Snow White, Snow White and Rose Red/East of the Sun West of the Moon, Twelve Dancing Princesses, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast. Some will take place after Dagger's Sleep, and some during the 100 years of sleep. You'll definitely see Jadon, Daemyn, Alex, Rosanna, and other characters from Dagger's Sleep again, though they might not be main characters.
That being said, I don't know if I'll write all six books in a row. You might get other books and other series in between books to change things up.
Sorry, that's kind of a vague answer. I hope it gives some answers at least. :)

Honestly, I didn't think about it too much. I'm a plot-first writer, so I had the idea for the over-arching plot right away. Since I knew the plot, I knew the plot didn't demand any magic or special abilities. They just wouldn't fit. Perhaps I could have then written it as historical, but the plot didn't fit any time-frame or country in our real world. I have seen a few others write non-magical fantasy similar to Acktar, so that's what I did.

When I was little, I always wanted my books to become movies. As I got older, I realized how few books that happens to, and it is especially rare for Christian fiction. I highly doubt The Blades of Acktar will ever be movies, and if they are, I probably wouldn't write the screenplay since I have absolutely 0 experience with that. If for some reason it did happen, I would love to see it produced by Aaron Burns, who did Beyond the Mask.

As much as I wish I could be, the finances just won't work to go this year. Too many other commitments this year.

The only time I've done this was a prequel-sequel that started before the first book in the series, then ended after book 3, and it was meant to be read as a 3.5 novella. In my case, I wrote this because I had a lot of readers clamoring to more details about a certain character's backstory and I had a story idea that needed to be told.
