新井一二三和我有不少共同的地方,兩人都寫散文,大家都可以用英日漢三國語言書寫,她流浪過的國家,我也走遍,唯有她介紹的日本,比我深刻得多。


另外有一個奇妙的緣,我留學時住的新宿柏木,走在前面是大久保車站,向後走,就是新井小時候住的東中野,她家裏開的朝日鮨壽司店我常光顧,也許當年年幼的小女孩在店裏遊玩,就是她也說不定。


這次見面,她送了我兩本中文書《你一定想知道的日本名詞故事》、另一本叫《我和中文談戀愛》,中間提到的朋友,也有些是我認識的,緣份這件事,牽來牽去。


這本書的腰封,有我寫的一句話:「會說中國話的日本人不少,但能說能寫,而且寫得好的,只有罕見的新井一二三。」
