Hello! I’m a children's author, science illustrator, and nature educator with a passion for exploring nature through picture books. I started writing picture books several years ago, when my oldest was a toddler. He asked a question that turned into a conversation, and that conversation inspired my first book--Who Laid the Egg?

I believe that kids can learn almost anything from a picture book, so I love sharing science and nature through my books.

You can find kids' activities and lesson plans for my books on my website, aesauble.com.

Your New Favorite Rockhound Picture Book?

Five years ago, I published the second book in my Early Science Questions series. Can a Rock Grow? gave kids a unique look at the rock cycle, while also celebrating the fun, fascinating rocks that attract rockhounds young and old.
