“We're quiet for a moment. And then: 'Why did you call me Matt?'
'It seemed like a good idea at the time. Now that I know you, I realise I should have called that character Dick.'
He laughs, and then the couch shakes. 'Honestly, Gabe, I forgot you could be this much fun.”

Crap. Where did that come from?
'Who told you that?' HIs smile shifts into something less amused. 'Daniel. Who else? The prick.'
'Is he a liar?'
Rafa leans against the pale wall. 'I haven't been with everyone.'
'What about Taya?'
'Hell, no. I'm no monk, but I have standards.'
I wonder what else Daniel was wrong about. 'What about me?'
Rafa's teasing smile doesn't quite reach his eyes. 'You had standards too.”

Hey Paula - congratulations on Undercurrent making pick of the week in the Sydney Morning Herald! Much to my shame, I have yet to read it but am very much looking forward to it. Hope it is selling well. Warmest, Donna xx

Unfortunately, I have no control over when the book comes out anywhere in the world.
I certainly understand your frustration with having to wait. The good news is that it's only about three months between the release of Shimmer and the fourth (and final) book, Burn - which you'll be happy about as there is pretty big cliffhanger at the end of Shimmer...
Hope you enjoy the books when you get a chance to read them. :)

Hi. You probably get this q from ever american who has read your books but... I just read Shadow and Haze in three days and i loved them both! I was hoping to read Shimmer too 'cause I saw it was out in Aus. But it won't be available here until 2016. Is there anyway we could get it this year? At least. It's awesome so far and it's freaking torture to wait for a year and a half :( just thought I would ask. It's a great series so far, just eager to read read read. Thanks.

Hi Paula! I grabbed Shadows after seeing you talk at the Bris Writer's Festival a couple years ago. Just finished Shimmer last night (stayed up way too late, thanks) and loved it, and now I can't wait for Burn. Just wanted to say thanks for creating an awesome series :)
Genie wrote: "Thanks for accepting my friend request :)Looking forward to reading and discovering more of your work.
Best wishes for more books in the future,

Thanks Genie. :)

Thank you! Yes, that was a wonderful surprise - and a great review. Needless to say I was stoked! Hope you enjoy the book when you get a chance to read it. How are things with you? Have you got that contract sorted yet? Hope life is treating you well. xx
