The story has big ups and downs. There are good scenes and the idea is strong, but there are a # of slow scenes. I was excited to read this after watching the show but am disappointed w the character development in the book. There isn't much and interactions are very surface level and unemotional (w some exception). It's hard to connect w the characters. Also, events happen w little reasoning. Def prefer the show!
