Okay, so I now know "the how" (mostly) but the why is still pending. I'm just trying to piece together in my head how some of the actions can possibly be justified. I still can't see the whole picture. Tomorrow...

So I've been trying to listen to this in the car to and from work only, but it is taking some strong willpower to leave it at this point! I'm so close, so close...

I still have no idea what I'm listening to. Is it a thriller? Is it SciFi? Is it horror? And most importantly, what in the hell is Wayward Pines?!?!

I just listened through Chapter 10 of this book, and let me tell you, it's really screwing with my need for nice, neat timelines. And seriously, what the hell was that??

So basically Ethan spends the first half of the book getting the crap beat out of him one way or another. It's been painful to listen to. I just keep thinking, "His poor face..."

Okay, and maybe this is a spoiler but I don't think it is, why does the sheriff now claim he doesn't believe Ethan is who he says he is when earlier he said the contacted Ethan's wife about the accident? How could he do that if he didn't know who he was?

This book. Gah. It's going to drive me nuts!!

I listened to just a little bit more over lunch and now we're definitely getting into the "WTF?" territory.

My son listened to this with me for a little bit was like, "Maybe they are taking the Silent Hill approach to this." An interesting idea...

I'm starting to get the appeal of audio books! So far this is pretty good and a nice change of pace.
