March 2026 - finally got an audio version, so I guess I'll be finishing this mastodont, ten years after starting the paperback copy!

2025: Pretty sure I started reading this in 2016 and have kept picking it up to read a few chapters every other year or so. I'm fascinated by (/slightly obsessed with) the Franklin expedition, definitely like a slice of horror built in, don't mind a story with a slower pace and so I have thouroghly enjoyed the read so far. I consider it a companion of mine by now, we'll see if I ever finish it.
