I do realize I’m moving very slowly through this one, but I have read this one before. It is not creeping me out as much as it did the first time I read it but that’s not surprising. I remember thinking the first time I read it that it was a very Gothic romance and for some reason, I’m not really getting those vibes this time.

Rowan is almost to New Orleans and Lasher is visiting her. She just doesn't know it yet.
Michael is still reading the Mayfair file. He has made it to Stella's murder by Lionel, her brother and his madness and death that followed.
The Talamasca is a bit creepy, lurking, reporting, recording others lives. I suppose documenting the supernatural would be something humans would do, especially supernatural humans. Creepy

It is all coming together in New Orleans.
