finally got to the masturbation scene and cannot BELIEVE how graphic it is omfg

um basically if u want to know how good this book is when victor and i were trying to do anything to avoid reading it i started slingshotting a hair tie at the ceiling but it somehow got stuck to our ceiling and defied gravity so i started throwing foam earplugs at it because v bet me $100 i couldn't get one thru the loop. i only got a plug halfway thru but bc i hit such a small target he gave me $100 anyway bc love

according to victor this book is even worse than the worst self published books we've read together bc at least those have ridiculous issues on every page. this has like 50 pages of less than nothing and then, like a punch in the face, you encounter the most abysmally incel-coded writing you've ever seen in your life

last night victor asked me if we could quit reading this it's so bad. i said no 🖤

victor and i have barely even reached the start of the main plot and already what's shocking me is how much more homophobia and antisemitism there is than the giant amount i caught on the first read. victor just keeps pausing reading over and over again and saying "this is an incel manifesto. i don't believe a woman wrote this."

Protagonist sexually assaults someone but the narrative frames it as a coming of age experience. Uh.
