according to victor this book is even worse than the worst self published books we've read together bc at least those have ridiculous issues on every page. this has like 50 pages of less than nothing and then, like a punch in the face, you encounter the most abysmally incel-coded writing you've ever seen in your life

victor and i have barely even reached the start of the main plot and already what's shocking me is how much more homophobia and antisemitism there is than the giant amount i caught on the first read. victor just keeps pausing reading over and over again and saying "this is an incel manifesto. i don't believe a woman wrote this."

Protagonist sexually assaults someone but the narrative frames it as a coming of age experience. Uh.
