Katniss had found a dying Rue with another opponent, whom Katniss quickly killed. Befre Rue dies, Katniss sings her a song and promises her that she would eventually win. With only six remaining the game makers had changed a rule. Two people from the same districts could both win, sparking hope in Katniss. Katniss, being a star crossed lover must now find Peeta in order to win.

The Hunger Games has gone underway as Katniss and Peeta separate from each other, Katniss isolating herself while Peeta decides to team up with the career tributes. Katniss,hiding overnight in a tree hears Peeta's voice and thinks of betrayal as she see's him with career tributes. Later on she uses tracker jackers to kill Glimmer and gets the bow. She rethinks her decision about betrayal when Peeta saves her life.

Afterwards Katniss has flashbacks of her past family and the her past. Katniss, Peeta and Effie have a discussion about the Hunger Games and drunken Haymitch whilebwatching the recap of District 12 reaping. Katniss then meets Cinna, her stylist and wants to wear a coal mining outfit.

"Hunger Games" is an interesting, fictional book that revolves around an impoverished girl named Katniss Everdeen. They live in Panem, in a district where an annual "reaping" takes place where a boy and girl from the twelve districts are chosen fight to the death in an event called the "Hunger Games." The reaping takes place, and Primrose, Katniss' sister is chosen to compete but Katniss takes her place instead.
