Just finished part one. My expectations are incredibly low, so so far, this isn't as terrible a book as I thought. The pros of pessimism are everywhere! Sadly, after having read these first three principles, I can truthfully say that my dad (despite having the audiobook on a loop) applies none of these to his life. How ironic.
