Having made it through two novels of Tarzan and now one novel of John Carter, I can safely assert that ERB has an unusual fascination with making his characters (male and female) walk around naked. Seriously, John Carter doesn't wear more than a silk body wrap for the entirety of "Princess of Mars," and that only during the night.
