Right now in my book there was a major AHA moment were Catherine's dress and the ball all made sense. In the pages I just read, Catherine is to marry the current king of hearts who she barely knows and she does not love. Right as she is about to be courted, Cheshire causes a distraction and she runs away off the balcohe gardens. There she finds the Joker and passes out and when she wakes up, he is still right there.

Right now, I really don't have any sign posts, but I predict that the new Joker is going to play a very important role. The way he was introduced to the story at the ball was a very loud and bold entrance so I think it means he will be seen later on in the story. especially because he had been previously mentioned before the ball and because based on the impression he made, he seems to be quite the mysterious person.

Currently, I am not far enough into my book to really notice any signposts, but you can tell that the main character, Catherine, is almost struggling to find her own identity in her world. You can tell her hopes do not align with her mothers of her marrying and becoming a wife, but her wanting to open up her own bakery with her maid in town. Everyone around loves her baking and she really sees it as her dream.
