SOOO glad she didn’t surrender to cardan. jude really destroyed his ego right there and he didn’t even do anything about it. not yet, at least. i’m sure the repercussions will be terrible. in the moment, though, it was perfect. hopefully there’s more to the tournament so jude can become a knight.

this is my second attempt at reading this book and it’s already going slow. as a non native english speaker i found the first chapters of this book (and fantasy books in general) kind of difficult to read as i’m not fluent and don’t know what everything means. i always find myself reaching for my phone and look up the meanings of words, which is exhausting and takes the fun out of reading for me :(
