"We're meals on wheels," Jenni said with a bitter laugh. "Chewy center is what it's all about," Katie said gloomily.

'And Jenni, well, she was just crazy and precious all rolled into one.' - Like me, Maja? :P

Something about her desperation to get to them and eat them, coupled with her bright, candy-pink jogging suit and bouffant hairdo just annoyed the ever-loving fuck out of her.

If they catch us and tear us open, will they enjoy the sugary goodness inside?

What was normal when the world was dissolving around you and reality suddenly looked like a Dali painting.

Maja (The Nocturnal Library) Yeeey, you've started it too! Do the babies bother you?
I really really like it so far.

Bonnie The babies bothered me at first but I think I've gotten used to it. Except there are baby zombies EVERYWHERE and they're super creeping me out.

I'm really liking it too. :)

Wendy Darling Chewy, chewy babies! :D

Bonnie Lol I think you're enjoying this too much, Wendy.

Maja (The Nocturnal Library) Yeah, Wen. You're the real Zombie Lover around here. :D

Bonnie Where's everybody at so far? I don't want to get too far ahead. :)

Wendy Darling Read 100 pages yesterday, looks like we're shooting for another 100 or so today. :)

Maja (The Nocturnal Library) Would you guys like it more if we just read on as long as we want and updated as we go? Sometimes it's very frustrating to stop reading when you don't want to.

Bonnie I don't mind anyone reading ahead because the time's I have to read are sporadic so if you guys don't mind we can just do that.

Wendy Darling I kind of like having a goal to work towards since readalongs are more fun if we're all kind of at the same place, but I do think that it gets trickier to manage if a lot of people are reading it! So yes, I'm totally fine with whatever you guys want to do.

Maja (The Nocturnal Library) Hahah, I never thought I'd be scared of old women in flowered summer dresses. :D

Bonnie Well I won't be able to read ahead real far so I'm sure we'll still manage to stick together. :)

Maja (The Nocturnal Library) No, no. Let's go back to our original plan. I was suggesting it mostly because of you, Wen. You seem to be enjoying this far too much to just stop when you reach a certain point. But I prefer the old way too.

Also, Jack is my new favorite dog.

Wendy Darling Oh, no--I can be disciplined! And I should, I am also in the middle of two other readalongs with Flann in addition to my separate reading material! I have some leniency since she's on vacation, but still. :)

Good, then, I like Plan A better. Thank you for thinking of me and my chewy zombie babies, though. :D

Bonnie Geeze. The part where they finally got to her step-son and they had to shoot that mother because she was going all crazy and stabby? Crazy ass people.

Bonnie You know what I love most about this book? It's brutal and ugly and gorey and... definitely what a zombie novel is/should be all about. (In comparison to something like... Dearly, Departed. lol)

Maja (The Nocturnal Library) Hah, actually, to me, that mother's reaction was the most understandable one. Our Jenni saw her husband chewing on their baby boy, and she's still keeping it together... Sort of Yeah, right. :D

Bonnie I agree, totally understandable reaction. But wow.
