Looking forward to how Connie and Mellor are going to become lovers because as far as I’m concerned Mellor hates her guts and just wants to be left alone. Ok but also I love a good enemies to lovers plot line

I love how Lawrence uses nature to showcase Connie’s sexual awakening. Going out to touch grass signals her reconnection with the natural world- of which sex is an organic part of. The allusion to Persephone too: the goddess of fertility! Haha ditch your horribly bland husband PLEASE!! (just kidding)

I LOVE THIS QUOTE. Encapsulates perfectly, Connie’s disconnection from not only her body but the rest of the world. Shame on you, Cliff!! How can you expect your wife to care for you when you offer nothing but a dismal mansion and pompous friends!
