I actually skipped a couple of chapters (the ones when they first get to the court) and don't feel like I missed anything important. I also skim or skip over a lot of the long paragraphs of description. E.g., did we really need a full paragraph description of the soldier who opened the barn door when that's the only thing he does in the story before he disappears?

Every time I see the word "cantrip" in this book (a witch's spell/glamour), my brain interprets it as "catnip."
