Why does every author of a baking cookbook assume the people using it will have a "stand mixer with a paddle attachment"? Even if I could afford one, I wouldn't get it because of having a tiny galley kitchen!

Ironic that Tolkien removed mentions of tomatoes from the Hobbit after the first edition as "anachronistic," yet potatoes remain a featured food item and not anachronistic.

I'm only a couple of minutes into the introduction of this audiobook, and the narrator has already mispronounced several words, two of the most egregious being theologian and antecedent. If this continues, I may not be able to finish this book on audio.
