Zoey is also making an unexpected friend with Aphrodite the one who in the first book was the leader of the dark daughters

Coming towards the end of the book they have just started to do a ceremony for one of the professors that had just been killed all the while Zoey is trying to keep what she knows about stevie rae to hersef because she knows if she tells any of her friends the Nefret will be able to read there mind and find out that they know srevie rae is not dead. In the process Zoey has 3 boyfriends but the one she had imprinted on
