So not as boring as I feared. This really is a great book. Some of the dialogue is cornythough, especially Shallan's "clever" responses. It's sorta like:
Shopkeeper: "you're an odd duck"
Shallan: "why I dare say you should see a doctor. I have no bill nor feathers nor webbed feet!!"
Shopkeeper: "what a clever girl you are!"
...ha? :|

So it's definitely 4 stories in one bigass book... and I think I've entered the boring part of the stories where the finale is set-up. So I have to suffer through 4 boring set-ups I assume.
I still like it; I'm interested in all of the plotlines. I wish they were more connected, however.
