I have picked this book up more times than I can count over the past few months, only to realize that it isn't meant to be read in one sitting.

It really is a memorable book. I agree with you, I can see myself perusing it every once in a while, but I doubt I'd want to read it cover to cover again. It reminds me a bit of Sartre's "Nausea".
