miss stephanie loves a patch me up trope huh like this is the THIRD time in one book and am i eating it up?? maybe so!!

okay see NOW i get what all the fuss is about!!!! this book has all the cringe and annoying aspects from the first one but also has an actual plot and doesn’t have to waste time with exposition and has WAY more tension and the jacks backstory mystery so it’s much easier to enjoy despite all the eye rolling moments. now this is the kind of low stakes semi-trash good time i was looking for

the plot of this one is already way better than the first so yay for that!! every character besides jacks is still annoying and one dimensional but maybe that'll change eventually

nice to know that we can count on the vampires to come back into the plot when stephanie wants to remind us of how horny evangeline actually is under layers and layers of idiocy

okay touche apparently even if they knew he was a vampire they wouldn't care!! now let's use him to kill off marisol pls

i very much appreciate the constant recapping of the first book every time a character comes back into play cause i really remember nothing!! but also wtf are the rules of this world how does no one realize that luc is a vampire?? apparently his skin is like glowing???? is this context i would've learned if i'd read the first series or is it just bad world building. also also evangeline is still annoying! let's goooo
