I'm 17 minutes into section 3, chapter 1. I've started fast forwarding the parts that feature Baron Harkonnen. His evil evilness just disgusts me and I'd rather hear what Paul and Jessica are doing anyway.

I'm 22 minutes into section 2 chapter 6 of the audiobook. 1 six chapter section left after this I discovered today that my iPod will actually play the audio at 2x the speed and it's still very understandable. I was timing it and I think it's actually more like 1.5x the speed, but this might at least save me a little time in the long run. Now let's see if I can finish this thing by Sunday! :)

1 hr into section 2, chapter 4. Paul sure adapts to new situations quickly and easily.

24 minutes into audiobook chapter 6. Lady Jessica said whaaaaaaat?

51 minutes into chapter 5. Why do I have so much trouble with the name "Atreides"? I can never remember it when I'm not listening to the story. I keep accidentally saying/thinking "Akilun" who is a character from another series and author entirely. :/

I'm about 15 or 20 minutes into audiobook chapter 5. I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm glad that a certain somebody didn't believe that a certain somebody else did the bad thing she was suspected of doing. I would have been mad if he had.

Just finished audiobook chapter 3. I don't know why, but in some sections it has separate voice actors doing the various characters' dialog, but in some sections it's just the narrator doing all the voices. I see no rhyme or reason for when they include the voice actors and when they don't, but I wish they would have used them more consistently all the way through because it helps me remember who's talking.
