What I read this past week is that it has been about 60 days since they have talked to Watney on the computer. Now, they have to create the plan for the course because the journey is going to have change of elevations and rough terrain. Mark has to prep the rover for the journey. Mark uses a pop-up tent to making more camping area and hooks up an oxygenator.

I can't really relate to the main character of the book, Mark Watney. Mark and I have gone through totally different situations in our life. He was left on Mars and had to survive by himself. On the other hand, I was 3 and I got lost in Target for about 30 minutes. I mean, we both could say that we a were alone for some time but Mark was lost for about 500 days when I was lost for 30 minutes.

If I could interview anyone from this book, it would probably be Mark Watney. He was stuck on the Mars for about 500 days and I would want to hear his thoughts during those days. I would ask him, "If somebody who had not been an astronaut got stuck on the moon, what do you think would happen to them? Mark would say that they would not last a week. The conditions are crazy that you have to be trained in order to live.

The story would be very different because we would not really understand what would be going with Mark up in space. What if the new narrator was the captain down on Earth that is working with NASA. This would change the event where Mark is stuck in space. In the beginning, nobody was able to communicate other people which made it hard for Mark on what to do. NASA has no idea that their was a survivor in space, alone.

The best parts about the book is that how it actually explains what could happen in real life. An astronaut can get stuck in space and has to figure out a way to survive. With no life on the planet that he is on. The worst parts are how is that in the very beginning NASA had no clue that Mark was still up their in space. That he had no way of contacting NASA to send help.
