Okay, thoughts on this so far:
It's not offensive. There's nothing wrong with it, but this isn't a great fit for my tastes. The writing style, the dream-like quality and the sort of hopping around in focus makes it very hard to decipher any sort of plot. I know Case, our narrator's, friend is missing and has 24-hours to get to the bottom of that, but it's just done in a way that makes it, frankly, not enjoyable.
