Ok Kearsley is weird in the middle of her books, they drag so much. However, I'm nearing the end and it is back to being very good.

Bonnie Yay! :D

You did good Bonnie! I absolutely love this story. I was reading other reviews and people who read her other books don't even think this one is the best one. So now I want to read her other books because I think this one is sooo good.

Bonnie Yep I've been meaning to get to some of her other ones as well. The only other one I've read is Mariana, but it reminded me a lot of The Rose Garden... time travel stuff.

I just put the other ones on my wishlist on PBS. I love anything time travel so I'm game. However, I wasn't overjoyed by The Winter Sea. I find this book much better than The Winter Sea. Seriously, how can someone not love Daniel?

Bonnie Yeah I think I have almost all of hers already, just haven't gotten around to reading them yet. Too bad about The Winter Sea one... I was planning on having that be my next one.

I loved Daniel... *swoon*

You might love The Winter Sea. I just thought it dragged so much in the middle. Lots of people loved it though.

Bonnie I thought the same thing about The Rose Garden and Mariana. Her writing sometimes drags, but it's still nonetheless interesting.

Totally agree. With The Rose Garden, the one thing that keeps certain parts from dragging too much is the anticipation of the unexpected. You never knew when she was going to go back so every paragraph is like waiting on the edge of the unknown.

Bonnie That is EXACTLY what drove me nuts. I loved the parts of her in the past and reading about all the 'unnecessary' stuff of her being in her proper time period after a while started to drag. But of course I understood that it was an essential part of the storyline, I'm just impatient. lol

Yeah I have a feeling I'm not going to like her being in the modern world. She is just now falling in love with Daniel and I can't imagine her going back and waiting to be sent back in time again.

Bonnie Yep that was pretty much torture. hahaha
Definitely has an Outlander feel to it too, not sure if you think so.

Oh I do. I was just scared to jinx myself into believing it! LOL

Bonnie hahaha - Yeah I can understand that.

I miss Jamie!!!!

Bonnie You and me both. What the hell are we going to do when she ends the series with this next book??? I'll probably have a mental breakdown at the very least. lol

She CANNOT end the series. No way!!!! NONONO.

Bonnie I know. I think I'm just going to go the 'denial' route. :D

I'll join you there. Everytime I think of that series, I only want to kick myself for not reading it earlier. I can't believe I actually started it and stopped it numerous times before finally trucking through those first 100 pages. It literally went from "what is this crap" to "this is my favorite book, series, and male character of all time".

Bonnie I know a lot of people felt that way. (About it being horrible in the beginning) It's been so long I don't remember my initial thoughts on it... totally on board with the 'favorite series of all time' though. Jamie has become a constant comparison of so many male characters for me. lol
