(108/470) for some reason I’m slow reading this book. Maybe it’s the small town middle of nowhere setting, maybe it’s the actual size of the pages. Cameron had a summer fling with Lindsey. She’s only like 14. Yet she’s already drinking and making out. God damn. I wonder how Ruth finds out, and if she actually does believe homosexuality is a sin there. Because at this point, she believes it’s a sin.

(77/470) her friend Irene kinda became a bitch. In high school she’ll be found out somehow. It looks like she’ll fall in love again. But she doesn’t go to the camp until around page 260. So this’ll be interesting…

I wonder when she’ll have to live with her Aunt Ruth. Does her Aunt move to Montana or does Cameron move? When is she found out? Do her & Irene kiss again? But she feels so guilty about it. She’s only 12 too, we need a time skip for camp🌈

She lost her parents, it’s so sad. Like Taylor Tomlinson (comedian) who was eating a bagel when she was told her mom died and became an emotional eater, she associated her kissing a girl with her parent’s death. She was such a happy, vibrant girl before. Now she’ll be ripped away from Irene and soon sent to a camp. :(
