Sometimes this book gets overshadowed in my memory by the later ones but it is so wonderful. Harry's first conversation with Dumbledore about the Mirror of Erised is so beautiful. "It shows us nothing more or less than the deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts. You, who have never known your family, see them standing around you..."
