I just read that "aspiration" means "to breathe" so if you don't have a dream, it means you don't have a purpose in life. If there is no breath, there is no life.

Action as a natural process reminds me of the 1962 film Sanjuro. The mass of camelia (tsubaki) flowing on top of the stream in the movie represents "change" in the current flow as discussed in this chapter.
