This book has a great ending, Auggie forgives Jack for what he said about him on Halloween and they become friends again. Auggie overcame many hardships in his life such as moving from his old house to a new place, getting made fun of, and getting weird looks because of his face. I'm glad that it ended happy, at the end Auggie and Jack go sledding at the end and they have a good time.

Jack and Auggies friendship is seeming to be getting back on track after Jack bad mouthed him with some of his other friends on Halloween. Jack apologized to him after but Auggie was still really sad, eventually he got over it. Auggie had a very good quote in the book that I thought I should put in here, he said, “The things we do outlast our mortality. The things we do are like monuments that people build to honor".

Auggies mom is tired of homeschooling him so she decides to send him to middle school. Auggie gets there and people start to stare at his face because it was deformed, he sits alone at lunch but a nice girl named summer comes and sits next to him.

This book is about a boy named August. He has faced many hardships in his life like lonliness, and not having any friends. His family is very loving and they support him.
