It’s getting better. The bookshop seems to be haunted with spirits. I like that the shop was originally built in Italy and to be torn down, but Mr. Fitzgerald bought it and brought it back to Dublin in pieces and had it reassembled. Interesting. Poor opaline had to leave Paris and relocate to Dublin to escape her awful brother’s plans for her arranged marriage to another equally disgusting man.

I’m enjoying this! The shorter chapters and 3 POVs make it easy to continue reading. The first hint of something magic about the bookshop made its debut in Martha’s POV
