"what the hell is tragedy? I am." In this quote Plath is falling back into her depression. I chose this quote because I have seen it before.

"as I look ahead I see only an accelerated work-pattern until the day I drop into the grave." In a letter to her mother, Plath is explaining her feelings of the future. She feels as though she will only see days of endless work for the rest of her life. I chose this quote because I can relate to it as I have often pondered this thought.
