I'm appreciating this more on a second read, now that I know what to expect.

Now that I've finally settled into how dark this book is, I'm enjoying it.

I'm not sure about this book yet. The characters and their relationship were just starting to grow on me, and then, hm. Definitely a very different sort of book than I was expecting.

I've been hearing lots of good things about this book, and it's interesting so far, but be warned that it's darker than the reviews might suggest, with the main character's backstory already involving rape and family suicide.
