"The Wife's Story" is a nice twist on an old tale.

I'm intrigued!

"The Pathways of Desire" is a fascinating story with unexpected turns about a small team of ethnographers studying a culture on another planet.

"The Eye Altering" is a gorgeous and clever story about the difficulty of adapting to a new planet.

I'm caught up in the story by now, but it's a strange one, with so many horrible things happening around our main characters.

"The Diary of the Rose" is fascinating, with an emotional plot featuring a well-imagined medical technology and field in which psychoscopists can use equipment to see and analyze a patient's thoughts. (The story, from the early 80s, also contains a small subplot with now-outdated ideas about autism.)

Wow, this has certainly been a rollercoaster already!

My book club is back from hiatus, and this is the first selection!

I've been enjoying this, and I have no idea how it's going to turn out.

"SQ" escalates nicely to tell the story of a world gone mad because of an attempt to prevent the world from going mad.

"The New Atlantis": I was so drawn into this story by the characters, the hope they carry, and the beautiful strangeness.

Starts off with a short, very Le Guinian story: "The Author of the Acacia Seeds" presents "extracts from the Journal of the Association of Therolinguistics" (animal language), and it's clever, funny, and unexpected.

Intrigued, can't wait to see where it's all going!

Excited for a story about a marriage involving time travel!

"By making this all about me, I didn't stop to think about anyone else." The narrator has certainly summed himself up, there.

This is definitely different than I was expecting, more about a breakup than a relationship.

I've been curious about this. Intrigued by the opening.

A fascinating mix of humor and grimness in these stories. I was particularly interested to read "Wake Island", about a world where scientists attempt genetic modification to eliminate sleeping, with poor results.

I reread the first book a few months back (after watching the TV series). May not reread the whole series, but I wanted to at least get to ART!

I really loved following the migratory life cycle of the culture in "Seasons of the Ansarac".

I'm feeling mixed about this. There's more life in some of the scenes than others.
