This book is a reflection of a bygone era when the writing folder was what everything else was based around. There's no mention of the writer's notebook in here, and I imagine the revised edition of the book would focus much more on that. Of course, I don't know. I don't have the revised edition to base that against.

I feel like I'm peeking in on the master when I read this. He writes with such certainty about his subject. I remember feeling this way when I watched him speak at Columbia. He was a guest speaker and I was just a teenager on a day trip, but reading this now I feel every bit as outclassed as I did then. He was so brilliant.
