took a few days from reading to focus on uni again and i forgot how intense this book can get. also well and truly fuck ben. i can't believe i felt bad for him during my last read

This book is so incredible, think it’s an easy 5 stars already

i watched Gone Girl, absolutely loved it and then decided to read the books but Gone Girl came in a set with Sharp Objects and Dark Places and all i can say is that i do not regret it. the way Gillian writes is so perfect, i feel like i am actually Libby Day when reading her chapters, and when reading Patty Day's chapters I can clearly see the scene, which is really hard for me to do.
