I decided to read this book becuase of the similarities I have with the main character. Her name is Maya and she lives in California. She later moves to the Wyoming wilderness. The wilderness is a place where I can connect. The sounds, smells, greens, and the imperfectly perfectness of nature. Maya finds who she is, something I question about myself in my everyday life.
