Finally done with "novel" #2, "The Human Chord." Can't stand to read anymore of these, so I'm skipping the latter two and moving on to the short stories. May the pseudo-philosophy and clunky adjectival phrases be less abundant.

Currently reading "Jimbo." Blackwood definitely knows his way around adjectives. The setting descriptions are very good, but I also feel sometimes like the author gets carried away with them, going into ever more detail instead of developing the plot more efficiently. I haven't read much of his work before, so maybe I have to adjust my expectations for story pacing.

My Kindle assures me that there are 32 hours and 30 minutes left in this book. Eep!
