My friend Tracy swears that I'll love this book. So, because I trust her, I have it on audiobook and I'm listening to it. When Jacob received apples in the fruit salad from the nurse made me almost cry. I have a feeling I'm gonna be shedding lots of tears on this one.

Thank the book gods for Older Jacob, Walter, Camel, Rosie, Rosemary, and even Barbara, because otherwise, I would have stopped reading (ok listening) to this book. Marlena and August are perfect for each other- one has no personality, and the other- unpredictable personality.

Why does Jacob like Marlena (besides the obvious lust)? She has showed absolutely no personality. Jacob's infatuation is annoying since Marlena has done nothing to deserve it. I don't get it.

There is more personality in Rosie than in Marlena. At what point does Marlena become a likeable character?

I did have time to listen to my audiobook. So many nursing homes are horrible and this reminds me of that fact. I love old jacob, he reminds me of Carl Fredricksen (the old man) from the movie Up. Young Jacob still needs to find his place (and his personality) within the circus. Kinko's purple headed penis...not a good image for my brain!

I'm loving the story. I was really afraid to read this since I hate the circus (animal abuse) but so far, it has been a great story.

Bia Yeah you will, but its an amazing book...I really hope you'll like it.

Lora Enjoy, Michelle:) I listened to the audio of this, also, and it is very emotional. Especially some of the parts with old Jacob.

D.G. I really enjoyed this one...how's the audio, Michelle?

I'm such an easy cry and just hearing him trying to get up to look out the window at the circus makes me wanna cry.

So far excellent. Two different narrators for old jacob and young jacob. Both are good narrators. I've only just started on young jacob, he learns of the crash and is trying to figure out what to do. That's how far I am but I'm loving it.

Oh, I know! I felt the same way.
