King Crusoe
is starting
As of 25 February, 2026, I have restarted my reading of the Bible; nearly 4 years after I started the Torah, 2.5 years after I finished the same, and 2 years since any progress at all, & many *lengthy* gaps in-between some parts (e.g. over 1 year in the middle of Numbers & 6 months in-between Deuteronomy and Joshua).
Time to give it another, more studious, go. I will be marking individual books throughout as I read!

Finished Joshua up. Some good stuff in this one - more than the last couple books imo. Tho still kind of a lot to take in.
Old Testament is very difficult tbh lol

Several chapters into Joshua; definitely a different vibe than the last few books have been.

Finished with Deuteronomy already, marking my completion of the Torah - or the Pentateuch as I learned Christians tend to refer to it. ‘Twas a lot easier to digest overall than Numbers or Leviticus.
Next to move onto the works of History with the book of Joshua.

Hooo boy. Finally through Numbers.
Now Deuteronomy tends to be a favorite amongst people, or at least has a lot of good stuff (I remember a disproportionate amount of Old Testament scripture mastery material being in here), so I’m excited for it. Almost done with the Torah.

After well over a year I’ve finally gotten back to listening to this. Several more chapters in Numbers done - a couple were interesting, regarding the topic of cleanliness after handling a dead body and such, but still a lot of it is hard to get a grasp on (of course, partially because hardly any of the laws and rules in the Torah apply to non-Orthodox Jews lol).

Working my way through Numbers. Been less tedious than Leviticus, but still a lot all at once.

Finished Leviticus over a couple bike rides. That was tedious as hell lmao
Hopefully Numbers isn't so much of the *in your face* law stuff that way. I want a little bit of the history and whatnot more than these directions that just don't really apply to non-Orthodox Jews.

Listening on Audio.
Done with Genesis and Exodus so far. The whole story of Joseph from Genesis was surprisingly compelling, and the main tale of Exodus (Moses, the Pharoah, and the Jewish slaves) is f**king BRUTAL. Definitely caught me by surprise.
2/5 of the way through the Torah, and no intention of stopping soon.
