she is talking about how she finally realized that kenny went through a hard time with the whole shooting situation

my character hit the realization after reading Denny's letter and many of the survivors were affected by this and shes not the only one who still thinks about it

in the book right now lee is telling us about how saras death is effecting her. she keeps seeing sara even though shes not there, lee also says how she cant go and see saras family because it hurts to much not being there with her.

in "that's not what happened", right now the students are going back to the school after the shooting 5 months before. they said how they thought it was gonna look different though it looked the same except the plaque with the names of the people killed in the shooting. so i didn't look different but it felt different.

in the book thats not what happend the main character talks about how she lost her best friend when she was murdered. the theme seem to be grief and even anger
